Do PT treatments hurt?
Physical therapy is meant to alleviate pain rather than exacerbate it. However, when you restore function, it’s possible that your pain levels will fluctuate. You may suffer some momentary discomfort but always at the level that you are comfortable with. You are the boss! Your comfort level is important to us and your healing process. Rest assured that some discomfort is a common side effect of physical therapy and should not be taken as a cause for alarm.
Communication with our therapist will help to reduce any discomfort you may feel during your physical therapy treatments. We want you to be pain-free and back to your normal activities as soon as possible.
